The Mattress of Winds (風的床褥)

The musicalization of contemporary poetry” has been the focus of S’yo’s art practice. As a band leader, he had two albums named after the poem of Taiwanese poet Meng-Tieh Chou_"Lonely Country" (Zennez Records, 2018) and "I Prefer" (Zennez Records, 2022). As a pianist, S'yo will present his newest solo work, "The Mattress of Wind, " with contemporary dancer Lungssu Yen. Inspired by Yang Mu's poem "Zeelandia”, "The Mattress of Wind" projects as a metaphor to provoke the concept of value, relationship, and reconciliation when two cultures meet, which stimulates a social conversation on tolerance and cultural diversity.
